AAHA Seal of Acceptance

The American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA) was established in 1933 and evaluates animal hospitals and clinics on over 900 standards. Knowing that your pet's clinic is AAHA accredited means that you and your pet are receiving the best possible service and care.

More recently, the AAHA Seal of Acceptance program was established to help inform pet owners about their options regarding the need to meet their financial responsibilities for quality pet health care.

Many pet insurance companies have adjusted their pet insurance policies to meet the standards and earn this recognition. The list of pet insurance companies that are AAHA accepted include:

  • Trupanion
  • PurinaCare
  • Petsecure
  • Pets Best
  • Healthy Paws
  • Veterinary Pet Insurance
  • Petplan

When shopping for pet insurance, it's important to research and find out which types of recognition and accreditation each company has received.
